The exhibition continues Hudson’s long-standing exploration of shape and color. Drawing from both the natural world and internal reflections on daily life, the works balance intuitive composition with a strong graphic language.
Several paintings begin as abstract compositions but evolve into forms that suggest structures or objects, reminiscent of unrealized public artworks or architectural interventions, echoing earlier imagined still lifes.
The exhibition also includes three powder-coated aluminum sculptures. Two are inspired by organic forms from nature, while the third references traditional weather vanes, architectural ornaments used to indicate wind direction and typically placed at the highest point of a building.
Additionally, a series of nine screen prints is presented, each centered on a single shape or a repetition of forms. These works are part of Hudson’s ongoing shape library, a growing collection of visual elements developed in the studio and here shown together for the first time.
