Vincent de Boer
Vincent de Boer (1988) is a Dutch artist whose practice is rooted in drawing, calligraphy and painting. His work explores the possibilities of the line, ranging from precise, controlled marks to large, expressive gestures.
Working primarily with ink, brush and paper, De Boer investigates how movement, rhythm and repetition can shape an image. His background in calligraphy is visible in his attention to the relationship between gesture and form, while his work moves beyond traditional lettering towards abstraction.
Alongside his works on paper, De Boer creates paintings, murals and site-specific works. Across these different formats, the physical act of drawing remains central to his practice.
