Liesbeth Piena
Liesbeth Piena (Waalre, 1993) is a Dutch artist living and working in Arnhem. After an analytical observation of the reality, Liesbeth carefully decomposes her subject in an almost abstract scene. From the observation of the surrounding environment, she isolates details of reality to bring them back onto canvas, paying attention to also represent shadows and negative spaces. Her recurring subjects are plants and natural landscapes reduced to essential shapes, in a very graphic way. Liesbeth Piena graduated in Fine Art Painting at AKI ArtEZ University of the Arts.
